1967 - Magical Mystery Tour
Magical Mystery Tour was technically an EP as a few of the songs on the album version (originally just released in the US) were singles released previously which were added to the UK EP to pad it out. But when the CD versions of The Beatles albums were released in 1987, Magical Mystery Tour was the one exception to the UK versions rule (all the other releases were the original UK version and not the cut up US versions.)
Considering that those singles ("Penny Lane," "Strawberry Fields Forever," etc. ) were not released on any other albums (save for Greatest Hits type releases) I think it's reasonable to now consider MMT to be a full fledged Beatles album. And if considered as such, it's one of their best. Certainly if you are a fan of psychedelic music, this is a must have. I mean "I Am The Walrus" is on this album for God's sake. Even if the rest of the album were crap (and it's definitely not) that would make it worth owning.
