The Beatles Mono Box Set
The Beatles Mono Box Set (out on 9/9/9) ends the long wait for the original mono mixes of each of The Beatles first 10 original UK albums (that's 1963's Please Please Me through 1968's The White Album) to finally be released on CD. CLICK HERE to order this great box set online.
The band's final two albums (Let It Be, & Abbey Road) are not included in this mono box set because they were never mixed in mono in the first place (by 1969 the band was only releasing their albums in stereo.) In fact, The White Album was only available in stereo in the US even back in 1968 because stereo was phased out in the US entirely earlier than it was in the UK.
That means this is the very first time that The White Album's mono mix has been officially released in the United States (whether on LP or CD.)
Along with these 10 studio albums, the box set also includes Mono Masters which is a collection of the mono mixes of all of the band's non-album tracks (that includes a lot of the band's greatest hits as they often didn't include their hit singles on their albums.)
On top of that, The Beatles Mono Box Set actually also includes two albums (Help! & Rubber Soul) in stereo (included on the disc with the mono versions.)
These stereo mixes of Help! & Rubber Soul were the original stereo mixes originally released back in 1965. When the albums were put on CD in stereo in the 1980s, a new mix was made and these old stereo mixes have been lost. Until now.
These ten albums in mono (and the Mono Masters collection) are not available for individual purchase but only as a part of this Mono Box Set.
Original Mono Mixes Included In This Box Set
Please Please Me (1963)
With The Beatles (1963)
A Hard Day's Night (1964)
Beatles For Free (1964)
Help! (1965)

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
Magical Mystery Tour (1967)

It should also be noted that the Mono Masters compilation (double disc) also includes the four new songs on Yellow Submarine and since the other two Beatles songs on that album are on Revolver and Magical Mystery Tour, all six songs from Yellow Submarine are actually included in this box set even though the "album" itself isn't (I put "album" in quotes because I don't really consider Yellow Submarine to be a proper Beatles album.)
